Home School Agreement

The school will:

  • Provide a safe, stimulating and structured learning environment
  • Encourage the child to do their best at all times
  • Encourage the child to take care of their surroundings
  • Encourage the child to socialise in an educational environment
  • Value the pupil as an individual
  • Inform parents of the child’s progress at regular meetings
  • Give parents an outline of the curriculum at the start of the year
  • Listen to pupils and parents concerns and opinions, advise and act
  • Inform you of events that the school is involved in

The parents /carers will:

  • Make sure their child arrives at school on time, correctly dressed and equipped
  • Seek authority from the Headteacher for planned absences in term time
  • Provide a note of explanation for all unavoidable sickness, including dental appointments etc.
  • Attend open evenings to discuss their child’s progress
  • Encourage my child to always do their best
  • Support their child in homework and other opportunities for learning such as regularly listening to their child reading
  • Support the school’s policies and guidelines for learning and behaviour

The child will:

  • Try to do their best at all times, when working at home or at school
  • Attend school regularly, arriving on time and wearing correct school uniform
  • Behave in a way which allows all children to work and play without interference or harm
  • Participate in all school activities
  • Treat other people and their belongings with respect
  • Be polite and helpful to all
  • Listen to my parents and teachers
  • Let an adult I trust in school know if I have any worries
  • Remember to deliver notes to parents/guardians

The School Governors will:

  • Carry out their duties and responsibilities with personal commitment
  • Make decisions of present and future pupils of the school
  • Be accessible to all parents to assist, advise or address any issue within their remit
